To participate, you must be between the ages of 13-25 years old, and live, play, pray, or go to school within the project area boundaries in the last two years. All project ideas and proposals are subject to ARPA guidelines. Please review the Rulebook for more details about this participatory budgeting process and the roles and responsibilities within Youth Voice, Youth Vote.

Category: Youth Public Art (Lead Implementer: Portland'5)

  1. Youth Artist Capital: Paid two-week program for youth artists to develop their art and entrepreneurial skills. (WINNER)

  2. Creative Language Camp: Cultural arts day camp at Oxbow Regional Park.

  3. Youth Art Collective: Monthly community club for youth artists.

Category: Youth Health Services (Lead Implementer: Hey Doc Clinic)

  1. Beyond SNAP: More Menstrual and Hygiene Products: Expanding youth access to menstrual and hygiene products that are not typically covered by SNAP benefits. (WINNER)

  2. You Matter: Youth Mental Health Services Program: School-based and virtual programs for mental health.

  3. Get Your Body and Mind Right: After school physical and mental health activities for youth.

Category: Housing and Homeless Services (Lead Implementer: APANO)

  1. Free Critical Resources Market for Unhoused Youth: A free market providing critical supplies to unhoused youth.

  2. Eat Your Veggies!- Healthy Food for Low Income Youth: Access to healthy food for low-income youth.

  3. Sheltering Youth: Connecting young people to rental & housing assistance. (WINNER)

Category: Economic Justice (Lead Implementer: Day One Tech)

  1. Economic Empowerment Classes: Economic empowerment and well-being classes for youth and their families.

  2. Setting up Young Parents for Workforce Success: A wrap-around support, workforce development program for young parents.

  3. Young Professionals - Paid Training to Start Your Career: Paid internships for youth to learn professional skills and explore job opportunities. (WINNER)

Category: Youth Recreation and Cultural Programs (Lead Implementer: Friends of Noise)

  1. Entrepreneurs & Artists Fair: An event and concert where youth can earn money while learning from artists and small businesses.

  2. Get the Summer Job of Your Dreams!: A job resource fair to help youth learn directly from employers about how to get ready for your dream summer job. (WINNER)
